Expanding on Jung’s ideas regarding active imagination, this presentation will describe the impact of composing original music to dreams of patients. The intention is to deepen the experience of the dream images and to explore the embodiment of sound as a means of accessing unconscious material. Existing literature as well as clinical material will be utilized to explore the importance of using creativity to produce new levels of empathy and interpretation that involve the patient in an interactive healing process.
